The official lists

The Wisconsin Educational Media & Technology Association (WEMTA) runs the statewide Battle of the Books and publishes the lists each year. If a list ever changes, theirs is the one that counts, and we update this page to match.

BookBright is an independent study app. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by WEMTA.

Can you name the book?

Every Wisconsin battle question starts with “In what book,” and so do these three. Every answer choice comes from the same list, just like in the app.

Pick your division

Finish the round to earn a sticker from one of the books.

Read it once. Remember it on battle day.

Two kinds of questions, a deep bank for every book, and rewards that keep readers coming back for one more round.

  • In What Book

A moment from the story, four titles from your list. Name the book, the same way every Wisconsin battle question works.

  • Book Trivia

Names, places, and the small details from inside each book that are easiest to forget.

  • Flashcards and weak spots

The books a reader misses come back around, so study time goes where it counts.

  • Every right answer earns something

Stickers for every book, badges, streaks, and mastery levels from Newbie to Battle Ready.
