ABOUT THE BOOK
NO SPOILERSHunger's Bite is a darkly funny gothic horror graphic novel set aboard the Lark, a grand ocean liner sailing from Liverpool to New York. Neeta Pandey, the captain's ward, is tired of crossing the Atlantic and spends her days planning a Grand Tour of Europe from a stack of travel books. Her childhood friend Emery, the captain's son, is training to become a captain and would be happy if nothing ever changed. This crossing feels different, though. The ship's new owner, a grinning American named Mr. Honeycutt, has been cutting costs everywhere, and Neeta's older brother Aamir, a first-class waiter, is being worked to exhaustion. Then Neeta meets Wick, a pale young man who carries an umbrella on sunny days and turns out to be a vampire and an agent of Goldfinch, a private organization that investigates inhuman activities. Wick has been sent to keep an eye on Honeycutt, and he is convinced the whole ship is in danger. As Aamir weakens and Emery keeps defending the new owner, Neeta has to decide whom to trust.
