While exploring the sprawling old house on a rainy day, Lucy discovers a large wardrobe in an empty room, steps through the fur coats inside, and finds herself standing in a snowy forest in a magical world called Narnia, where she meets a kind faun named Mr. Tumnus near an old lamp-post. When she returns and tells her brothers and sister what happened, no one believes her, and things only get more complicated when Edmund sneaks into the wardrobe on his own and meets the powerful, cold White Witch, who feeds him enchanted Turkish Delight and plants a plan in his head to bring his siblings to her.
