NO SPOILERSRedwall is the story of Matthias, a young mouse who lives at Redwall Abbey, a peaceful community of woodland creatures deep in Mossflower. When a fierce rat warlord named Cluny the Scourge arrives with his enormous army and threatens to conquer the Abbey, Matthias must find his courage. Guided by clues hidden in riddles and ancient writings, he sets out on a dangerous quest through the woods and beyond, hoping to recover the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior, the hero who founded Redwall long ago. While the defenders of the Abbey hold off wave after wave of attacks, Matthias faces threats far deadlier than anything he imagined, including a hypnotic giant snake and creatures far larger and stronger than himself. The story is full of brave friends, clever plans, surprising allies, and a young hero who discovers what he is truly made of.
