One stormy night, the Monroes return from a Dracula movie carrying a tiny black-and-white rabbit they found sitting on a theater seat, tucked in a shoebox with a mysterious note written in an unfamiliar language. The rabbit, named Bunnicula, sleeps through every day and wakes only at night, which might be nothing more than normal rabbit behavior. But when a drained, completely white tomato turns up in the refrigerator, Chester starts pulling out his horror books and building a case that their new housemate is not an ordinary bunny at all.
