Nancy's father reveals that Crowley told many people he planned to leave them money and then changed his mind, but a suspicious attorney conversation hints that Crowley may have quietly written a second, secret will that no one has found. Convinced a hidden document exists and that it could secure a better future for the Turners and other struggling families Crowley cared about, Nancy sets out to find it before the wealthy, unscrupulous Topham family, who inherited everything under the current will, can stop her.
