ABOUT THE BOOK

NO SPOILERS

Thirteen-year-old Lunar Jones looks after the twelve other kids at the Martian Relocation Clinic in Harvest, a dying city on a Mars where storms and wild creatures have attacked humans ever since people killed Ares, the planet's King-Dragon. Lunar keeps the clinic kids fed by scrapping the wastes after big storms. When a monster storm uncovers a buried mech suit, a rival crew ambushes him, and he ends up at the bottom of a cliff. Carrying his injured stand-in spotter, Little Will, Lunar flees into the forbidden militarized zone and climbs down a storm drain into a secret bunker, where an underground forest hides a dragon named Dread who speaks inside his head. General Poppy has spent years training a crew of kids so Dread could choose one of them as his dragoon, the captain of his crew, but Dread chooses Lunar. Now a scrapper who left school at nine has to lead soldiers who have trained for this for years, and not all of them are happy about it.

    ✓ Answer

The Last Dragon on Mars (Dragonships) by Scott Reintgen

Lunar slides a coded microchip into the city's community generator, and his favorite road bike digitizes in front of him. In Harvest, coded goods only stay real as long as you stay in range of the city's generators.

  2. First half

    ✓ Answer

The Last Dragon on Mars (Dragonships) by Scott Reintgen

After another lost simulation, Lunar heads to Dread's habitat, where Dread sets his chin on the moss and asks this after overhearing someone say they were falling in love. Lunar calls their talks the highlight of his days.

In what book does a girl uncover a buried treasure chest packed with blankets at her stargazing spot?

    ✓ Answer

The Last Dragon on Mars (Dragonships) by Scott Reintgen

In what book does a blind top-ten vote end with each leader getting one veto-proof crew pick?

    ✓ Answer

The Last Dragon on Mars (Dragonships) by Scott Reintgen

    ✓ Answer

The Last Dragon on Mars (Dragonships) by Scott Reintgen

    ✓ Answer
