NO SPOILERSOn a misty autumn night, seven fox kits sneak away from their den to visit the old storyteller who lives in Bog Cavern, desperate to hear tales so frightening they will "put the white in their tails." The storyteller warns them that scary stories have two sides: those who listen all the way through can be guided by the darkness, but those who flee before the end risk being swallowed by it. One by one, the kits slip away as the night grows more terrifying, until only the littlest one, who shares her name with the fox at the heart of the tales, remains to hear them all the way through.
