When a second litter of pups joins the pack, Warm becomes their protector, the one who teaches them how to hide and stay quiet when danger is near. That skill is put to the test when a rival pack of pale wolves attacks the mountains, and Warm suddenly finds himself alone, in charge of leading four young pups to safety with no one else to guide them. He has never been the biggest or bravest wolf in his family. Now his pack needs him to be enough.
